When all the pendemic began, just for a moment (during that “peak fear” time) there was that unique feeling peculiar to Covid. A feeling that continued strong for a day or so and tailed off.
The short, sharp, shock realisation of life’s brief window vs. mortality. Right then I had an intense sense of being glad; lucky to be alive, precious and perfectly healthy whilst trapped within an unknown darkness. An ever-present, ominous and invisible danger. Both a positive and a negative at once. A kind of light and dark, a bright organism in a dark space.
This is the first of several projects I’ve been producing that attempt to visualise, explore and express Covid’s emotional phases, to pin them down before they disappear.
